The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust has launched a significant investment in its Cancer Services workforce over the last few years. The additional staff will ensure the service is fit for purpose to provide ongoing excellent care and the roll-out of new technologies and service.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic nurse to work within the oncology team as a nurse specialist for metastatic gynae and urological cancers and are seeking a motivated professional to join our team. You will be working closely with the clinical nurse specialist nursing teams, oncology consultants and the wider teams in the Sunrise centre and other colleagues across the Trust.

This role plays a pivotal part within this service, including meeting the needs of metastatic gynae and urological cancer patients receiving anti-cancer therapy and providing seamless holistic care.

This is a part time permanent position 30 hours per week.

This role has been approved for advertising; however, it is also being assessed as a suitable alternative employment opportunity. As a result, the vacancy may be withdrawn or there may be a delay before shortlisting can begin.

### Main duties of the job

As a role model for cancer nursing practice, you will develop skills to assess, manage and treat patients, as well as working towards supporting and leading on the introduction of new initiatives and pathways. You will have post-registration experience in oncology / haematology/ palliative care or relevant speciality.

Within this role you will be required to develop the skills of clinical leadership, managing change and have knowledge of managing resources, people and situations effectively, whilst keeping a calm head in a challenging environment.
