We want to hear from an experienced Community Mental Health Nurses interested in joining PALMS. Working with colleagues from other mental health and wellbeing services, both statutory and non-statutory, and alongside the growing Primary Care team, the PALMS clinicians’ role is to signpost to appropriate self management resources or third sector services, provide direct low intensity brief intervention or liaise with and refer on to statutory mental health services where appropriate. PALMS clinicians also act as Mental Health Specialist and provide consultation and support to GPs and other Primary Care staff.

PALMS is a highly valued service both for patients and Primary Care and GP practice staff helping adults experiencing mental health and wellbeing difficulties to access the right support at the right time. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Mental Health Nurses to get involved and join a developing service, helping to shape mental health & wellbeing services at community level.
