The role:

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are pleased to offer an exciting and sought-after posts for two Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health Team based primarily in Primary Care Mental Health Team (PCMHT) service, within East Dunbartonshire Health & Social Care Partnership.

This post is based at Kirkintilloch Health & Care Centre and offers the opportunity to work within a well-established, supportive team delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health care to adults within a primary care setting.

The post holder(s) will contribute to the delivery of timely, person-centred mental health assessment and interventions for adults presenting with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, in line with the stepped-care model.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

These are 2x permanent, full-time posts of 36 hours per week.

The roles are based at Kirkintilloch Health & Care Centre.

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, with a combination of 9.00am–5.00pm and a shorter working day due to reduced working week.

Key responsibilities:

- Comprehensive mental health assessment, formulation and care planning
- Delivery of evidence-based psychological interventions
- Risk assessment and management
- Management of a defined clinical caseload
- Close collaborative working with GPs, primary care colleagues and wider multidisciplinary teams
- Contribution to service development, audit and quality improvement activity.

The role supports NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde priorities around early intervention, prevention of escalation to secondary care, and improving access to mental health services.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

### Essential:

- Professional qualification with current registration (e.g. NMC / HCPC)
- Relevant post-qualification experience working with adults with mental health difficulties
- Experience in mental health assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based interventions
- Sound knowledge of risk assessment and management
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and organisational skills

### Desirable:

- Experience of holding CBT certificate / or working towards this
- Knowledge of stepped-care models and national mental health strategy
