This post is only open to those with an appropriate MHWP qualification - Registration with either the BPS or BABCP.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner (MHWP)  to join our Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (Community team) based in Haywards Heath and East Grinstead.  The team highly values the MHWP role and has a long history of employing MHWPs or GMHPs. The post holder will have completed the MHWP Training via a recognised MHWP training course, having completed placements and been assessed with competencies in assessment of mental health needs and risk assessment and will have had some experience of delivering psychologically informed interventions. The successful applicant will join a multi-disciplinary team which has Clinical Psychologists, CBT therapists, a Systemic Family therapist, as well an Assistant Psychologist and trainee clinical psychologists.  There will be regular supervision from a Clinical Psychologist.  Additional training relevant to the role will be provided, as well as support to take part in a robust preceptorship programme if required.

## Person Specification

### Knowledge/Experience

**Essential**

- Experience of working with people with mental health needs gained through a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training with significant supervised practice
- Experience running groups/activities
- Experience working as part of a team
- Experience of being supervised
- Experience of analysing and communicating complex information verbally and in writing

### Qualification and registration

**Essential**

- A graduate certificate (Level 6) or postgraduate certificate (Level 7) delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners (Adult Specialist Mental Health) or post graduate certificate achieved via the Graduate Mental Health Practitioner training plus the additional certified MHWP training modules.
- Registered as a Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioner on a professional register recognised for this role by NHS England
