Working alongside clinical pharmacists and the multidisciplinary team, you will provide a comprehensive medicines management service across inpatient wards and dispensary services, ensuring the safe and timely supply of medicines to patients. The role includes taking medication histories, assessing patients' own medicines, ordering and supplying medication, undertaking ward-based dispensing, supporting patient discharge, providing medicines counselling, and performing accredited final accuracy checking of dispensed prescriptions. You will also contribute to the safe management of controlled drugs, stock control, and the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care in line with Trust policies and professional standards. You will work independently within your scope of practice, support the development of junior pharmacy staff, participate in audits and service improvement projects, and contribute to the ongoing development of clinical pharmacy services.
