We recognise that Medical Secretaries and Pathway Co‑ordinators play an essential role in delivering high-quality patient care. As a key point of contact for patients, clinicians and wider teams, you will help ensure services run smoothly and that patients receive timely, accurate information throughout their care pathway.

We are looking for an organised and compassionate individual to join our Urology team at Queen’s Hospital Burton. You will be part of a supportive administrative team, working alongside six consultants, contributing to a collaborative and patient-focused service.

### Main duties of the job

### About the role

You will act as a key point of contact for patients, consultants and clinical teams, responding to queries professionally and sensitively. The role includes managing consultant diaries, coordinating patient pathway administration, and producing clinical correspondence within agreed timescales. You will support waiting list management (including RTT), liaise with wards and departments to ensure continuity of care, and escalate urgent issues appropriately.

### About you

We welcome applications from individuals with experience in an administrative, customer care or patient-facing role. You will have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, effective communication with patients, carers and colleagues, and confidence using IT systems including Microsoft Office. A collaborative and flexible approach to team working is essential.
