We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Medical Records Clerk to join our team on a permanent basis.

The applicant will be responsible for maintaining an efficient Medical Records Library whilst acting as an active member of the medical records team, involved in giving users of the department a swift response to requests.

### Main duties of the job

The Medical Records department provides an efficient service to all users of the department and so this role requires someone with excellent attention to detail, communication skills and reliability.

- To input patient data on the offsite medical records database in an accurate manner according to department policies.
- To be responsible for the co-ordination of notes sent & retrieved from offsite storage & recording of transactions.
- To coordinate the destruction of offsite medical records accordingly.
- To ensure all results are filed in patients notes in a timely manner, using the PIMS system to search for patient numbers where necessary

### Experience

**Essential**

- Previous experience of working in a clerical environment
- Awareness of Data Protection
- Ideally experience of using PAS database (currently PiMS)
- Good communication and relationship skills.
