### Job overview

The post holder will provide a professional front-of-house service for the Medical Education Centre, supporting doctors, students, educators and visitors. They will contribute to the effective delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programmes through efficient administrative support, excellent customer service, and the maintenance of a welcoming and professional learning environment.

The post holder will be responsible for a range of reception and administrative duties, including managing room bookings, responding to enquiries, supporting teaching and training activities, and assisting in the day-to-day operation of the Medical Education Centre. They will also help ensure that the Centre is maintained to a high standard and operates efficiently for all users.

The post holder will normally work 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, and may occasionally be required to work flexibly to provide cover between 8:00am and 4:00pm in line with service requirements.

### Knowledge and skills based

**Essential**

- General education to GCSE level or equivalent. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in a reception, customer service or administrative role. Experience of working in a busy office environment with competing priorities and deadlines

- Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work effectively under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Ability to support virtual and face-to-face meetings, including Microsoft Teams
- Willingness to undertake training and continuous personal development

**Desirable**

- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Customer Service or a related subject
- Previous experience within the NHS, healthcare or educational sector
- Experience of supporting meetings, training events or room bookings
- Knowledge of undergraduate or postgraduate medical education processes
