Band 3 MSW Antenatal Clinic - Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Location: This post is primarily based at Basingstoke Hospital

- The post holder will assist the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of a high quality family-centred, maternity service.
- The post holder will support the midwife in all clinical areas in the care of women and babies.

The post holder should have previous or current experience within a maternity setting.

What we look for:

- Experience in maternity care within the hospital and ideally within the community setting as well to join our team providing maternity services across a large part of Hampshire
- Care certificate and skills/competencies signed off as Band 2 MSWy
- Ability to work as part of a team, be organised and prioritise personal workload

## Person Specification

### Skills & Ability

**Essential**

- Planning and organisational ability
- Willingness to undertake a diploma in Newborn hearing screening programme
- Venepuncture
- Full driving license

**Desirable**

- Willingness to undertake AN education classes

### Experience & Knowledge

**Essential**

- Experience in maternity care
- Current experience within a healthcare setting

### Training & Qualifications

**Essential**

- Care certificate
- Good standard of general education in English language and math’s GCSE grades A-

**Desirable**

- - NVQ 3 or equivalent
