An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and compassionate Rotational Maternity Support Workers to join our dynamic maternity service at Homerton Healthcare .  This is a rotational post across different areas of maternity care, offering a unique chance to gain varied experience within our service.

As a Maternity Support Worker, you will be a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, working under the supervision of registered midwives to deliver high-quality, personalised care to women, birthing people, and their babies across all stages of the maternity pathway.

In this hands-on role, you’ll support women and families with routine and transitional care across inpatient and outpatient settings. You'll contribute to care planning, infant feeding support (aligned with our UNICEF Baby Friendly Level 3 accreditation), and enhancing the overall care experience.

We’re looking for proactive, team-focused individuals with experience in maternity or healthcare support, who bring strong communication, empathy, and reliability. You’ll be supported through structured training and competency-based learning, with a clear focus on safety, dignity, and continuity of care

### Main duties of the job

The post holder will work alongside the named registered midwife providing care to women, birthing people and their babies in the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal settings in both inpatient and outpatient services.

They will support in the observation, assessment and actioning of care plans for both mothers and babies who are requiring both routine, intermediate and transitional care needs within the pregnancy and birth experience. The post holder will support the maternity efforts towards maintaining UNICEF level 3 accreditation by supporting infant feeding needs, as well as positive patient experience within the service.

The Maternity Support Worker will be an integral part of the ward/department team, actively taking part in meeting the needs of patients and of the service in accordance with agreed standards under direct supervision of the midwives. The post holder will develop essential competencies though training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.

- Understanding of confidentiality issues

### Experience
