The role also includes supporting the Infant Feeding Team to maintain Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) accreditation, participating in conducting audit and other tasks as directed by the Infant Feeding Lead. This is a permanent position, that will have a focus on meeting the needs of babies who are born prematurely, and women at risk of giving birth prematurely. The postholder will work closely with the preterm birth prevention team, PeriPrem team, neonatal unit, and maternity departments to ensure preterm babies receive breastmilk within 6 hours of birth in line with the PeriPrem bundle. The funding for this post is to provide support to women/birthing people and their babies over evenings and weekends.
