### Job summary

An exciting opportunity is available to work in the Antenatal Clinic and Day Assessment Unit at Worcester Maternity Hub as a Band 6 Midwife. This opportunity consists of part time contract incorporating 30 hours per week. We are looking for a compassionate Midwife with excellent communication skills to manage high risk pregnancies. The care will be evidence based and you will help the team to coordinate multidisciplinary collaboration to maintain best outcomes for birthing people and babies.

Please be aware that this recruitment process will be a 2 phase assessment process to select the most suitable candidate.

Phase 1 interview will be held on the 9th November 2026.

### Main duties of the job

The postholder will be required to assess and provide the full range of care needs to develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period for women and their babies.

### Experience

**Essential**

- 1) Experience in all areas of midwifery Practice within a UK Maternity setting
- 2) Good organisational / time management skills
- 3) Experience of supporting staff and delegation

**Desirable**

- 1) Experience working within Maternity Day Assessment Unit and Antenatal Clinic

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- 1) BSc (Hons) Midwifery or equivalent qualification
- 2) UK NMC registration as a midwife
- 3) Practice supervisor or Assessor training

**Desirable**

- 1) Advanced Midwifery studies
- 2) NIPE qualification

### Knowledge and Skills

**Essential**

- 1) Please demonstrate how as a midwife you ensure your practice is guided by current evidence based practice and the importance of this.
- 2) Please give examples of how you prioritise your workload effectively and work collaboratively within part of a team

**Desirable**

- 1) Competent in IV Cannulation
- 2) Competent in IV drug administration
