(potential 2 positions if 2 candidates can offer 1 day each.) The salary is negotiable based on skills and experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be keen to develop within an exciting and varied role within an innovative environment. ### Main duties of the job Responsibilities include chronic disease management, wound care, cytology, childhood immunisations, travel vaccination, NHS Health Checks, ECGs, assisting GPs in minor operation session, treatment room tasks including general immunisations, delivering health promotion and health education to patients addressing key lifestyle issues i.e. smoking, weight, diet etc. ### About us We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse to join our well established and high performing team on a 12 month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. We are a forward-thinking practice serving a patient population of 9,200 and are committed to putting patient care first. Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, CHD and CKD o NHS health Checks o INR testing (including housebound provisions) o Learning Disability Checks Perform injections including but not limited to: B12, depo (contraception), testosterone, zoladex, flu, pneumovax, shingles BP monitoring including hypertension reviews and 24 hour BP Urinalysis Perform cytology testing Travel Health: by providing comprehensive advice to patients prior to travel including; vaccinations and medicines, safe sex, food hygiene, sun protection.
