### Job overview

The main objectives of the Finance Department are to provide accurate financial information, which supports effective decision making and to complete statutory annual accounts and monthly returns as required. Within this, there is a key focus on customer service to ensure that managers are provided with operational tools to both monitor and evaluate their financial performance.

To maintain the financial ledger, provide financial management support and advice to Clinical Groups

To process accounting information in accordance with the agreed monthly accounting timetable and ensuring that the clinical groups reporting requirements are met.

Management Accountant (Band 5) Full-time, Permanent

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a Trust providing integrated NHS services for at Croydon University Hospital, Purley War Memorial Hospital, in clinics and people’s homes across the borough of Croydon. As a Trust, we are striving to be at the forefront for how the NHS is trying to change – working in partnership with others to join up services for everyone.

As a Management Accountant, your key responsibilities will be:

- Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets
- Providing financial advice to budget holders and managers
- To ensure effective financial monitoring by providing accurate reports on year-end income and expenditure
- Performing robust variance analysis

We a Looking for someone with the following attributes:

- Part qualified or currently studying towards CCAB (or equivalent)
- Experience providing budgetary support and liaising with budget holders
- Able to interpret and present financial information
- A positive attitude to take on responsibility and develop the role

What we can offer:

- Flexible working arrangements
- 27 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays (holiday entitlement raises to 33 days with service)- This is for full time / part time would be pro-rata
