The North Cumbria Breast Imaging Unit is proud to provide a comprehensive range of high-quality services for patients with breast concerns, as well as serving as the hub for the North Cumbria Breast Screening Programme. We are committed to delivering truly patient-centred care within a warm, supportive environment, led by a dedicated team of highly skilled specialists.

We are a welcoming and collaborative department working across two sites, where we value and make the most of the diverse skills within our team. We actively support professional growth and career development for both Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners, with opportunities for advanced practice. Our well-established four-tier workforce includes Consultant Mammographers and Advanced Practitioners, reflecting our commitment to innovation and excellence in care.

### Main duties of the job

You must have HCPC registration as a radiographer and Postgraduate Award in Mammography.

You will work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team providing both screening and symptomatic breast imaging to the population of North and West Cumbria. You will gain a wealth of experience in breast imaging supported by the existing breast imaging team.

The North Cumbria Breast Screening Unit provides screening to approximately 22,500 women per year between the ages of 50-70 as part of the National Health Service Breast Programme.
