We’re looking for an experienced and motivated clinician to lead our community based service, delivering high quality care to people living with lymphoedema across the local area. You’ll run a mix of community clinics and domiciliary visits, providing specialist assessment, treatment, and ongoing management. As Team Leader, you’ll also take on line management responsibilities, supporting the development and wellbeing of our small, supportive team. They will provide a high quality, evidence based lymphoedema service, addressing the symptoms of lymphoedema for those with cancer and non- cancer related lymphoedema. They will line manage the junior team members. They will develop links with other services in the trust and the local community. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Provide a high standard lymphoedema service undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. Take a lead role as clinical specialist in the holistic, advanced  assessment of patients with lymphoedema with diverse presentations. These patients may have a wide variety of complex physical, emotional and psychological needs as a result of their cancer diagnosis or underlying health conditions. Use highly specialist clinical reasoning skills to provide a diagnosis and to develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes. The post holder works closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to make appropriate referrals where necessary to provide streamlined, coordinated care. They will provide advice, support and supervision for Band 6 Lymphoedema therapists/ nurses. This may be in the form of formal training, reflective practice and clinical reasoning. Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further quality improvement in the service.
