An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurse to join our specialist Lymphoedema Service at Florence Nightingale Hospice.

We are seeking a skilled clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with lymphoedema and chronic oedema. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessment, treatment and ongoing management for patients across a variety of settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse with experience in lymphoedema, tissue viability, oncology, community nursing or related specialties who is looking to further develop their expertise within a supportive and innovative service

### Main duties of the job

This highly specialist clinical field necessitates managing patients who often have highly complex and diverse physical and emotional needs. The presentation of each patient varies enormously with diagnosis and medical history necessitating ability to draw on a wide range of skills and knowledge, frequently dealing with multiple physical, social and emotional issues.

The post holder will need to:

- To work as an autonomous specialist practitioner as an integral and supportive member of the specialist nurse-led lymphoedema team and palliative care MDT, providing high quality person centred care to patients with Lymphoedema (cancer and non-cancer)/ chronic oedema and their families.
- Responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for patients with Lymphoedema and different types of chronic oedema, working closely with the Team Lead but hold independent clinics.
- To work collaboratively with the Team Lead and colleagues to raise the profile of Lymphoedema management, supporting the needs of patients and deliver service developments.
- To be responsible for sharing specialist knowledge and skills of Lymphoedema management with other members of the MDT and students as appropriate.

### Experience

**Essential**

- Post registration experience
- Evidence of experience with lymphoedema or chronic oedema/oncology/palliative care/community nursing
- Experience as an autonomous practitioner with the ability to work independently and as part of the team

### Education, Qualifications and Training

**Essential**

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
- Evidence of recent continuing professional development
- Degree/Diploma in Health/Nursing studies or related subject
- Relevant post graduate clinical training e.g long term conditions, oncology or palliative care
