The posts are suitable for those with Rheumatology experience including candidates with more experience who are looking for stability and career development perhaps towards becoming a future consultant in Rheumatology. The appointee will provide a specialist rheumatological service in conjunction with Nine other Rheumatology Consultants based across both the Winchester and Basingstoke sites. This post is central to delivering effective patient care at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  The post will be primarily based in Basingstoke but you may be asked to attend other sites as required. The post will be involved in all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of patients. ### Main duties of the job The postholder will provide support primarily for our outpatient service but will also be involved with inpatient care as well.  This post will provide support for our Rheumatology outpatient service but also help us to achieve our 5-year goal of excellent care in Rheumatology including our biologics, CTD and fracture liaison services. Setting up an Ankylosing Spondylitis service, Rheumatology transition to adulthood and Fracture Liaison services are particular areas in development at the present time. Post holders will be supported to obtain competencies in all areas of Rheumatology. It is expected that experience and competencies will be gained over a number of years and may ultimately contribute towards the post holder applying for a Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) through the GMC. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities For full details, please refer to the attached Job Description/Person Specification.
