Applications are invited from a suitably qualified pathologist, for the post of Locum Consultant Histopathologist specialising in Gynaecological Pathology. This post is based at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital. ### Main duties of the job The Department of Cellular Pathology at Birmingham Women’s Hospital provides specialist gynaecological pathology services to the Birmingham Women’s Hospital NHS Trust, which is a Cancer Unit, and to the Regional Gynaecological Cancer Centre at Midlands Metropolitan University Hospital, which is part of the Pan-Birmingham Cancer Network. The applicant must have some experience in gynaecological pathology and will join a team of 3 consultant gynaecological pathologists and a Consultant Biomedical Scientist to deliver this specialist service. The post-holder is expected to attend multidisciplinary team meetings, and participate in relevant EQA schemes, CPD, departmental educational activities and the regional pathology training programme.
