The post has arisen through retirement of a current consultant. Head of Department, GNCH Dept. of Respiratory Paediatrics, on 0191 2825089 or malcolm.brodlie@nhs.net or Dr Raja Abouelella, Clinical Director, raja.abouelella@nhs.net ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities - Provide ‘on-call’ respiratory paediatric care for all paediatric inpatients at GNCH and FRH. - Other duties may include (specialist areas to be decided dependent on experience/departmental need): o Oversee and report sleep studies and other physiological investigations o Manage the care of children receiving long term ventilation in home, including inpatient, outpatient care and when required home visiting o Ensure quality assurance of sleep and physiological investigations o Contribute to the complex airway service in both inpatient and outpatient settings ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
