We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team at the Royal Eye Infirmary working together to make a difference to Ophthalmology services within Plymouth and beyond. Applicants must be fully registered with the GMC and be on the GMC Specialist Register for surgical Ophthalmology or within 6 months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview. The Ophthalmology unit offers a comprehensive range of routine, urgent and specialist ophthalmic services and the post-holder will be expected to play an active role in the development and provision of the Paediatric sub-specialty services for patients. ### Main duties of the job This post is for a Locum Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Paediatrics Ophthalmology. It is a maternity cover post which will continue to support the growth or our department, however, there maybe an option to extend the contract for the right candidate.
