Should any further vacancies arise shortlisted applicants will be considered. ### Main duties of the job The appointee will, together with Consultant colleagues be responsible for the provision of cancer services across the above mentioned disease sites. The appointee will join established multidisciplinary teams for these cancers. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in our acute oncology and on-call services rota which currently equates to 0.11 PA.    The successful candidate will work according to the terms and conditions of the national consultant contract. Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust promotes Equality of opportunity and Diversity within the workplace. ## Person Specification ### Research **Essential** - Ability to critically assess published research and incorporate it into clinical practice where appropriate **Desirable** - Publications in Peer reviewed journals. ### Qualifications **Essential** - Full and Specialist registration (with a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC). - MRCP (or equivalent) - FRCR (or equivalent) – For Clinical Oncologist **Desirable** - MD or PhD or equivalent - Name on the specialist register for relevant specialty or eligible within 6 months of the date of the interview.
