This is a fixed term post for 6 months. We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers. ### Main duties of the job The appointee will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, effective and modern Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Service, practicing the full remit of the specialty whilst recognising special regional and national specialist arrangements, e.g., Cleft/ Craniofacial Services. The successful candidate will work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment. They will be required to cover for colleagues during planned and unexpected periods of absence and will have continuing responsibility for patients in their care and the proper functioning of the department. The successful candidate would be expected to work with existing OMFS consultants to manage the OMFS general and trauma service. It is also anticipated that the successful candidate will work with regional colleagues to develop the trauma and orthognathic service across South Yorkshire.
