We are particularly seeking a colleague with special interest in Gynaecology Oncology, in addition to a broad range of generic skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. ### Main duties of the job The ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is essential. Applicants must be both flexible in their approach and be ready to meet the challenges presented by the evolving health service changes in North Wales. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all aspects of work including outpatient clinic sessions in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, labour ward and gynaecology operating theatre lists in addition to the hybrid resident/ non-resident on-call rota. At present all Consultants participate in twilight cover as resident on call. Consultants are expected to be physically on site while providing labour ward cover during working hours. The Consultant will not provide any other cover e.g., ANC or GOPD while covering Labour ward. The post holder will be expected to show a commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and training, and a qualification in medical education would be desirable, in addition to the special interests ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Candidates are encouraged to refer to the attached Job Description and Person Specification for further information.
