Training in clinical management. - Understanding of management roles in NHS pathology and willingness to engage with and participate in management. - Evidence of ability to work in a clinical team at the level of a consultant in a teaching hospital - Evidence of significant contribution to successful teamwork - Willingness to share cases and seek second opinions appropriately - Good spoken and written English. - Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience of formal and informal contributions to teaching and training - Evidence of effective and sustained contribution to clinical governance, clinical risk management and clinical audit activities **Desirable** - Management qualification. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary for explaining complex situations to professionals and non-professionals - Education qualification - Peer reviewed publications Research grants ### Qualifications/Training **Essential** - FRCPath or equivalent - Applicants that are UK trained, must ALSO be a holder of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), or be within six months of award of CCT by date of interview.
