Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in General Surgery (Benign Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery) at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, to start as soon as possible for a period of three months.

The Digestive Diseases Directorate of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Locum Consultant in General Surgery with a sub-specialty interest in emergency general surgery and benign upper GI surgery. The successful candidate will have a broad experience of emergency general surgery (including trauma) and upper gastrointestinal surgery.

### Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will undertake duties as required by the demands of the Colorectal Unit service, and these duties will include clinical work, elective surgery within the colorectal firm, advanced pelvic malignancy surgery, ward work, outpatient clinics and other duties as required by consultants.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in General Surgery (Benign Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery) or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those wishing to work flexibly for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at time of application is required.
