The Homerton Hospital has an excellent reputation on social media with junior doctors attracting the highest calibre of trainee, and high-quality consultants. This recruitment is part of the Trust's planned expansion of the diabetes antenatal clinic and other outpatient activities  . We are looking for forward-thinking individuals to help us continue to deliver a high standard service and develop it further. The role initially comprises of 10 programmed activities (PAs) consisting of inpatient and outpatient duties with on call commitments . The postholder will be involved in the development of the service, and as a result their job plan, over time. ### Main duties of the job The successful candidate will provide specialist inpatient and outpatient expertise in Endocrinology and Diabetes. On taking up the post this consultant will take part in 4 outpatient clinics each week in addition to antenatal clinics and inpatient general medicine work.  The post holder may be expected to participate in the general medicine rota initially 1:15. Acute medicine is provided by 15 General Physicians.
