These posts represent an exciting opportunity to join a diverse group of consultants and one of the highest performing emergency departments, ranked outstanding at the last CQC inspection in 2020. These posts are suitable for new consultants who have recently completed entry on to the specialist register in Emergency Medicine (including those within 6 months of completion) as well as experienced consultants looking to develop established specialist interests. ### Main duties of the job This job description sets out the details and service conditions for a whole-time equivalent substantive Consultant post (10 PAs) in Emergency Medicine, based at Homerton Healthcare. The postholder will be expected to provide support in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and Same Day Emergency Care. Please refer to attached JD for further details ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities A formal job plan will be agreed upon appointment with the Clinical Lead on behalf of the Chief Medical Officer. An indicative job plan is shown below (based on a 9+1 PA appointment, equivalent to a wholetime equivalent consultant). Job plans are reviewed annually in line with the Terms and Conditions of employment. The on call is non-resident and attracts a supplement of 5%.
