Applicants must be registered with a licence to practice with the GMC. Inclusion on the Specialist Register or within six months of interview is a requirement. All applicants should have Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician status or be able to apply. Applicants need to inform us in advance if they are under any formal investigation processes by any organisations including General Medical Council (GMC). In 2021, the Trust was successful with our bid to implement our Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT) model across the whole of North West and Central London. The service covers 8 North West London boroughs in three hubs (Brent, Harrow & Hillingdon (BHH), Ealing, Hammersmith & Hounslow (EHH) and Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster KCW). Working within this established and expanding team, there are many opportunities to be part of service development. This exciting role is working within a dynamic and progressive team within SCFT. You will be working with a small but complex caseload of approximately 30 outpatients supported by a well-resourced multi-disciplinary team including social care and excellent administrative support. You will provide in-reach to secure wards and follow up to 30 in-patients prior to discharge but you will not be Responsible Clinician (RC) for these patients. You will offer clinical leadership to the team and act as Responsible Clinician / Clinical Supervisor for the service users in your caseload, who will also have an assigned social supervisor and CPN. Please view as attached The person specification below is not the full person specification, but outlines the criteria against which your application form will be assessed. ## Person Specification ### Eligibility **Essential** - Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment - GMC Specialist Register or within six months - Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment - Good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice - Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment ### Qualifications **Essential** - MBBS or equivalent medical qualification **Desirable** - MRCPsych - Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management - CCT in Forensic Psychiatry - Experience in forensic Community mental health care and / or rehabilitation of forensic patients - Use of relevant tools, eg HCR20, HONOS ### Clinical knowledge **Essential** - Excellent clinical skills in interviewing and psychiatric risk assessment - Excellent written and oral communication skills.
