They should be able to manage all aspects of General Adult and Paediatric ENT. The on-call commitment is 1:4 week days covering Bedford Hospital with prospective cover for annual and study leave. Weekend on-call is 1:10 covering both Luton and Dunstable Hospital and Bedford Hospital ### Main duties of the job Key tasks: - Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients presenting to the Hospital. - To provide and support colleagues with the management of all adult and paediatric - patients presenting with ENT conditions. - In addition, the post-holder will have the following responsibilities - To develop close links with the ENT Team and undertake the responsibilities of outpatient ENT Clinics. - Teaching and training of intermediate grade and, junior medical staff, medical - students and ENT Nursing Staff. - To develop and lead Clinical Research in ENT with the support of Research & Ethic - Committee in the Trust. - To actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical - Governance and audit. - To have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities All shortlisted applicants will be expected to make arrangements to discuss the post and where possible, attend the department prior to interview.
