We currently provide all services in house with no outsourcing to external providers. We are heavily involved in the design and creation of the All Wales Digital Pathology Programme.   We utilise AI algorithms for the diagnosis of several specimen types, and hope to implement its use in the reporting of HER2 and associated ISH. The successful candidate will benefit from a new office, bespoke new microscope, IT packages including laptop, digital equipment and secretarial support. The laboratory has full UKAS ISO15189 accreditation, and is networked to provide a comprehensive Cellular Pathology service to the area ### Main duties of the job The successful candidate will play an important role in reporting the Health Board's current histopathology backlog with the bulk of the work being GI and skin backlogs but the ability to report other specialties will be beneficial.
