This is a 10PA post covering cardiac theatres, cardiac ICU and cardiac Cath labs, with a 1 in 11 on-call commitment. The post will begin as soon as possible for a period of six months initially. It is an additional post, due to an increase in workload across the service. ### Main duties of the job Applications are invited to join our friendly, supportive team of cardio-thoracic anaesthetists. This is a 10 PA locum appointment. This post will be available from as soon as possible for a period of six months initially. The post will deliver 10 PAs supporting the anaesthetic team at the Leeds General Infirmary and St Jamess University Hospital Leeds. The post will be based at The Leeds General Infirmary. The successful applicant should hold accreditation in FRCA from the Royal College of Anaesthetists or equivalent. They should be on the Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register if currently in a training programme within the UK or have references which have been authorised by the Deputy Medical Director and Clinical Director. It would be suitable for applicants following the portfolio/CESR pathway. We have a strong track record supporting colleagues to achieve specialist registration via this route. Applicants should have established skills in cardiothoracic anaesthesia.
