The Education Programmes are mandatory throughout the Trust. These posts offer an excellent introduction to Psychiatry. Posts are appropriate for CT1-3 trainees The Consultant body has a variety of special interests and there are many opportunities for the trainees to look into and further expand their knowledge and experience with discussion with their consultant ### Main duties of the job Core clinical work (consistent with Royal College of Psychiatry requirements) - The bulk of clinical work will be within a Consultant Led team based at your designated Hospital Site. This is based  in Community mental health teams or on the wards. - There can be oncall work within normal office working hours - The LED post holder will be expected to accumulate their own outpatient load, or work within the MDT on the ward, from new referrals and help out with known patients in outpatients and pick up ongoing patient management through the community teams as appropriate. - The LED is expected to contribute to the bio psychosocial model of care with the other members of the multi-disciplinary team. This includes history taking, mental state examination of all patients and the physical examination of outpatients and on the wards where appropriate.
