The post will involve providing care for general medical inpatients on ward 8 at Good Hope Hospital and participation in the out of hours on call rota. There will be the opportunity to support Diabetes inpatient ward rounds across the hospital site and exposure to a range of specialist Diabetes and Endocrine outpatient clinics. Other duties include fielding specialist referrals and providing clinical support and teaching to junior doctors caring for medical inpatients. The post would particularly suit someone planning to commence training in diabetes and endocrinology.
