We are seeking an inspiring and proactive Knowledge and Library Services Manager to lead the delivery of a high-quality, customer-focused service that supports outstanding patient care, education, research and organisational learning.

### Main duties of the job

- You will be responsible for planning, delivering and continuously improving a range of library and knowledge services, ensuring they remain relevant, accessible and responsive to all users - this includes managing, selecting and renewing print and digital resources using usage data, stakeholder feedback, service priorities and budget considerations to maximise value and impact
- You will be required to produce reports and statistical returns, monitoring service performance, demonstrating impact and using data and feedback to inform service developments and improvements
- As the manager of the service, you will identify service priorities and determine the activities required to deliver the Strategic Library Plan and support organisational objectives
- You will be responsible for managing the newly refurbished library spaces, alongside digital service provision
- You will lead a small team, providing direction, support and development to enable high levels of performance
- You will be comfortable managing competing priorities, coordinating workloads and designing rotas to ensure services are delivered effectively
- You will also build productive relationships with colleagues across the Trust and work collaboratively with local NHS library networks and NHS England to contribute to regional and national priorities, share best practice and support service development.

### Experience

- Experience of automated library management systems
- Extensive Knowledge of databases and the Internet
- Experience of staff supervision

### Qualifications

- Good general education to degree level
- Recognised library qualification
- Research/teaching experience or qualification
