The position offers immersive experience in a high-volume, tertiary referral centre with a strong academic, research, and clinical governance ethos. ### Main duties of the job - To make an effective contribution to reaching the Trust’s vision, strategic objectives and key work programmes. - To enhance and develop the General Surgery Service - To promote the highest clinical standards - To work in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team to provide effective delivery and management of the service. - To participate in the teaching and clinical supervision of the surgical trainees - To actively participate in departmental and trust matters concerning clinical governance. - To participate in regular audit of clinical activity and effectiveness that aid improvement and development of the General Surgery service. - To ensure active participation in continuing medical education (CME) for self and others. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities For the full Person Specification and more information regarding the main responsibilities of this role, please refer to the attached Job Description. ### Please note, due to anticipated high volumes of applications, this vacancy may close earlier than the listed closing date.
