### Job overview

The post holder will be responsible for the clinical oversight of a caseload of citizens with learning disabilities or who are autistic, across the four Black Country locations, this will include completion of weekly update reports to NHSE and updating of the COSI log

The post holder will act as a specialist practitioner for the Learning Disabilities and Autism Program (LDA), including interpretation and implementation of relevant national guidance, evidence and best practice.

The post holder will support the National LDA programme and demonstrate a good understanding of National Guidance and best practice, including the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards

- The post holder will ensure complex case reviews are timely and reflect best outcomes and offer value for money with regards delivery. The post holder will ensure quality and effectiveness of placements and support packages, utilising quality checklists and reviewing systems and ensure that all support commissioned by BCHFT meets needs and promotes positive outcomes The post holder will chair and/or attend all LAEP’s and Care, Education and Treatment reviews, in line with the guidance set out within the LDA Programme

### Main duties of the job

To manage their own caseload and day to day running of key functions within the Commissioning, Case Management Team and Key Worker Team. With an ability to manage and prioritise own caseload and competing priorities in ensuring deadlines are met

To manage a specialist caseload and undertake responsibilities as delegated by the Head of the CCMKT and Commissioners

- Required to maintain constructive relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholder, locally and across the four areas. Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives which may be highly complex, sensitive, political, and contain contentious information with the aim of providing information and analytical advice to the teams. Communicate information, risks, issues and dependencies, including briefings and reports to Project teams, sponsors and a range of internal and external staff. To   develop   and   maintain   report   systems   which   monitor   the   services commissioned from providers and the impact of these on the outcomes for children, young people, adults and their families To develop quality assurance measures to ensure that the identified health needs of the person are being met with particular regard to race, religion, culture, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation
