### Job overview

The role is Learning and Development Facilitator.  The post holder will support the Learning and Development Team in the development and delivery of training interventions across a broad range of portfolios held by the Learning and Development Team.  The post holder will be responsible for assisting and the delivery of training interventions trust wide.   The post holder will have minimum 2 years clinical experience or lived experience in an area that is involved in clinical restraint and restraint reduction due to statutory requirements for attaining the appropriate training qualification.  The post holder will support the L&D Department, representing the trust with the implementation and delivery of a range of portfolio areas.

The post holder will work under both direct and indirect guidance and direction from the Lead L&D facilitator to support the effective delivery of portfolios.

### Main duties of the job

The role is a band 4 Learning and Development Facilitator. The post holder will support the Learning and Development Team in the development and delivery of training interventions initially in Reducing Restrictive interventions then rotating across Resuscitation and Moving & Handling but may be required to support other portfolios held by the Learning and Development Team.

Within their scope of practice, they will be expected to deliver the delivery of MAST and bespoke training programmes and support the development and evaluation of training in conjunction with external partners where appropriate.

The post holder will be responsible for the development, and the delivery of training interventions trust wide.

The post holder will work towards becoming an accredited trainer with the RRN/BILD standards.

The post holder may work under the indirect guidance and direction of the Lead L&D facilitator when required to support the effective delivery of portfolios but will be able to work autonomously.

### Training

**Essential**

- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Evidence of previous delivery of training

**Desirable**

- First Aid at Work Certificate
- Mental Health First Aider
- CCaST competent
- Positive Behaviour Support Training
- Evidence of developing training

### Experience

**Essential**

- Minimum of 2 years appropriate demonstratable experience of working in an area that is regularly involved in Reducing restrictive interventions Or Appropriate lived experience

**Desirable**

- Experience of coaching
- Other clinical experience
- Experience of reducing crisis situations and potential violent incidents

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- Evidence of up-to-date MAST Training

**Desirable**

- Experience of working within RRI (PMVA) Training, Resuscitation Training, Clinical Skills, Moving and Handling
- Recognised teaching qualification i.e. PTTLS, AET L3

### Special Knowledge/Skills

**Essential**

- Knowledge of contemporary issues in managing aggression and violence
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously

**Desirable**

- Knowledge of Resuscitation Council Guidance
- Knowledge of moving and handling guidance or Moving & Handling key trainer
