UHL are pleased to offer the following exciting opportunity for a Lead Pharmacy Technician posts in the Professional Development team & Clinical Assurance team (PDCA)

This individual will ensure the delivery of an efficient, high quality, innovative, cost effective service, that meets local and national standards and adhering to professional guidelines, ethical codes of practice and legal requirements.

They will have responsibility to support with the delivery of the MPharm qualification, working closely with De Montfort University to ensure that the curriculum requirements are met.

### Main duties of the job

- To be the lead Pharmacy Technician within the Professional development team to support and facilitate the delivery of the MPharm qualification.
- To support all pharmacy services to have the appropriate competencies to maintain agreed standards of service delivery.
- To be responsible for ensuring quality monitoring systems are developed, implemented and agreed and that targets and standards are set.

### Detailed job description and main responsibilities

- To develop and deliver clinically relevant dispensing training for the undergraduate MPharm degree at the DMU School of Pharmacy.
- Share any knowledge gained via specific training sessions, workshops, presentations etc. with colleagues in order to develop and underpin good practice
- Maintain core pharmacy technician practice skills by participating in dispensary activity (minimum one session per week) to maintain professional registration.

**Essential**

- Able and willing to travel
- Good levels of concentration and ability to focus on task at hand to see it through

### Experience

**Essential**

- Significant relevant post qualification experience including in a ward based medicines management role
- Evidence of successful team leadership and involvement in change management
- Evidence of building and maintaining sound relationships within teams and with colleagues in other areas
- Experience of managing staff performance
- Previous experience of training and development in a pharmacy role

**Desirable**

- H&S or risk management experience

### Training & Qualifications

**Essential**

- Registration as a qualified Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Management qualification or equivalent experience

**Desirable**

- Member of APTUK
- Project management experience
