In this influential role, you will support the DIPC in delivering strategic leadership for infection prevention and control across the Trust. You will lead a skilled multidisciplinary team, provide expert advice and assurance, and work collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders to embed best practice, improve patient outcomes and strengthen a culture of safety throughout the organisation. ### Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities - Lead and inspire the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team, championing excellence in patient safety and infection prevention. - Support the Director of Infection Prevention and Control (DIPC) in delivering the Trust's IPC strategy, policy development and priorities. - Provide expert advice and leadership on infection prevention, outbreaks and emerging risks. - Lead infection surveillance, using data and insight to drive quality improvement and safer care. - Promote a culture of learning through the delivery of IPC education, training and awareness programmes. - Provide assurance through audit, monitoring and compliance activities, supporting continuous improvement. - Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to embed best practice across the organisation. - Drive innovation, research and evidence-based practice to improve patient outcomes. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Further information about the Trust and this role can be found on the Job Description and Person Specification document attached ### Applicant requirements You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
