Lead, inspire, and shape community health and wellbeing in Gwynedd and Anglesey by joining our award-winning BCUHB Public Health Dietetics Team as the Public Health Dietetic Team Lead (Band 7) – West Area.

As a vital local leader within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, you will operationalise public health nutrition programmes across the rural and coastal communities of North West Wales. Based in the West area (covering Gwynedd and the Isle of Anglesey), you will lead a dedicated team of dietitians and support workers to deliver evidence-based community food and nutrition projects aligned with the all-Wales Nutrition Skills for Life™ framework and BCUHB organisational priorities

### Main duties of the job

To lead the development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of best practice in relation to community development/public health dietetics in the West area of the Health Board area working as an integral member of and in partnership with the multi-disciplinary teams within and out with health; including social care, local authority, education and the third sector.

Deliver highly specialist seamless dietetic care to individuals and groups in the areas identified above through the use of a variety of education approaches; supporting management of wider stakeholders to build capacity in the community through consistent nutrition messages, through delivery of accredited and non accredited courses.

Team leads delegated nutrition and dietetic staff ensuring consistent evidence based standards of care and effective multi-disciplinary working across BCUHB acting as an integral support to the Service Lead for Public Health dietetics.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

- Community Partnership: Collaborate with fellow health professionals, local authorities, childcare sector, education providers, and third-sector groups across Gwynedd and Anglesey.
- Capacity Building: Oversee the regional delivery of accredited nutrition courses using a sustainable "train-the-trainer" approach, building capacity in the community workforce.
- Strategic Alignment: Target health inequalities by shaping and driving local initiatives that support the Healthy Weight: Healthy Wales strategy.

- Broad, well established dietetic practice
- Significant experience of dietetic delivery in the field of diabetes
- Experience of team leadership
- Delegation to qualified and non qualified staff

### Qualifications

**Essential**

- State registered Dietitian (with HCPC)
- Recognised qualification degree / equivalent in dietetics
- Accredited post graduate study relevant to clinical area at masters level or equivalent
- Clinical supervisory skills training

**Desirable**

- Other professional, technical or academic qualification which relate to clinical practice
