We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Team at the Wellington Hospital, currently rated "Good” by the CQC. The Wellington Hospital covers a number of specialist units including ICU Gynaecology CCU/HDU, Cardiac Treatment and Digestive Health.

The post-holder will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, safe and effective pharmacy service across the hospital, providing leadership across dispensary, inpatient and outpatient services while supporting the ongoing development of the wider pharmacy team.

As a key member of the Pharmacy Senior Management Team, you will contribute to departmental strategy, operational delivery and governance initiatives, helping to drive service improvement and maintain the highest standards of patient-focused care. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will champion the safe and effective use of medicines and play an active role in quality improvement projects across the hospital.

The role also includes line management and professional development responsibilities, providing mentorship and support to pharmacists at varying stages of their careers, alongside training and developing junior members of the team. Working closely with the Deputy Pharmacy Manager, you will help represent pharmacy services across both our North and South sites, building strong stakeholder relationships internally and externally.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinical pharmacist with an advanced level background in an acute environment looking to take the next step into a senior leadership role. We are seeking someone who combines strong clinical expertise with a passion for developing others, and who has previous experience leading, managing or mentoring pharmacists within a complex acute hospital environment.

- Specialist knowledge in surgical and medical pharmacy
- Previous management and leadership skills
