The postholder will also be a member of the LWH Senior Pharmacy Leadership Team (SLT) and will work alongside other members of the SLT to manage the day to day running of the Pharmacy Services on site and ensure interfaces between portfolios and sites are managed seamlessly. Key responsibilities of the postholder will include; - Provide leadership and be responsible for the gynaecology clinical pharmacy service. - Lead and provide clinical expertise in the delivery and development of pharmacy services to the Gynaecology Care Group developing exemplary clinical practice. - Develop and manage the gynaecology pharmacy team to ensure safe and effective specialist clinical pharmacy service for patients and staff. - Lead the strategic direction and implementation of pharmacy services to the Gynaecology Care Group. ### Detailed job description and main responsibilities Ensure multi disciplinary working in the gynaecology team to identify and optimise patient co-morbidities and to refer to other specialties or services in a timely manner when required. Provide highly specialist pharmacist input to patient care, promoting medicines optimisation for patients Provide a safe and effective advanced clinical pharmacy service to the gynaecology care group Liaise with appropriate healthcare professionals within other secondary care trusts to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources during the transfer of babies and where necessary, develop relevant protocols Support the Chief Pharmacist and Deputy Chief Pharmacist and other senior pharmacy managers in developing and implementing the strategic goals for the department. Participate in other management responsibilities including, performance review, sickness and absence monitoring, formal investigations as delegated.
