This post has deanery approval for training and the successful applicant will receive training opportunities at the appropriate level based on previous experience.

There may be a possibility to extend this appointment to the end of the training year. The extension may be at any of the hospitals on the rotation.

### Teaching

**Desirable**

- Teaching achievement (including attendance at teaching courses etc.)

### Clinical Experience

**Essential**

- Satisfactory assessment of clinical ability.
- Basic life support training.
- At least 24 months’ experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (not including Foundation modules) by time of intended start date.
- ST3+ clinical position within Obstetrics and Gynaecology team

**Desirable**

- Completion of formal obstetric skills/drills training course by time of appointment
- Relevant experience in other specialties which would complement a career in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Extracurricular activities/achievements relevant to Obstetrics and Gynaecology

If applicants believe they have adequate communication skills, but do not have evidence in one of the above forms, they must provide alternative supporting evidenceii of language skills

- GMC registered medical practitioner
- Licence to practice
- ILS certificate or equivalent.
- Appropriate right to work as a doctor in training in the UK.

- Clinical experience in an NHS environment.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Knowledge and experience of the NHS.
