### Job summary

The Kitchen Assistant will play an important role within Jewish Cares Catering & Hospitality team at the Betty and Asher Loftus Centre in Friern Barnet, helping to provide high-quality meals and a welcoming dining experience for residents and community members. This permanent role offers 35 hours per week, typically working five days out of seven, including some weekends, with flexibility to support occasional evening events and holidays. Working as part of a busy kitchen team, you will assist with basic food preparation, wash dishes and kitchen equipment, maintain clean and organised kitchen and dining areas, support meal service and prepare dining areas for residents. You will also help with hospitality and special events and work closely with chefs and front-of-house colleagues. Previous kitchen or catering experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering & Hospitality team at the Betty and Asher Loftus Centre in Friern Barnet. You will help create a positive dining experience for residents and community members, supporting our kitchen team with food preparation, meal service, cleaning and maintaining high standards of hygiene and organisation. You will also help prepare dining areas and support hospitality and special events. No previous kitchen experience is required, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in a busy catering environment.
