It has a strong multi-disciplinary team, providing care to patients following a stroke. Closely supported by the ward manager and Matron you will work together as part of the Band 6 team to ensure the smooth running of the unit. You will also be supported to develop in your role as a leader within the exciting field of Stroke. This post involves and full range of shifts including Bank Holidays, nights and weekends and will require participation in the oversight of the MDTs during the week. 2 Full time substantial posts (37.5 hrs/week) available. ### Main duties of the job To manage and co-ordinate nursing care and to provide a safe and effective level of patient care. To assist with the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care using agreed frameworks. To participate in the supervision and teaching of qualified and unqualified staff including students. To regularly take charge of the ward.
