The post holder will provide high quality nursing care to patients, participating in the setting of standards of nursing practice within a cohesive

multidisciplinary team.

The expectations within this job description will be met through leadership, hands on clinical practice, education and training, and research.

The post holder will be expected to act as the designated deputy for the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse and manage operational issues in their

absence

### Main duties of the job

The Haematology ward is looking to recruit a Band 6 Junior Sister/Charge Nurse. The successful candidate will need to have

experience from working in a cancer environment and have excellent communication and leadership skills. You

will be expected to support the Ward Manager in the day to day running of the unit providing leadership in their absence.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who would like to build their management and leadership skills.
