An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Operations Team as a Junior Operations Manager for our Outpatients Transformation Programme.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to progress their career within the NHS. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders including the Associate Director of Operations, Operational Support Managers, Administrative teams, Clinicians, the EPR Programme team and external third party stakeholders. Reporting to the Outpatients Transformation Clinical Service Support Manager(CSSM), the post holder will work to operationally support the delivery of national Outpatient targets and provide administrative support to the wider division.

Good communication skills and being able to work with all levels of staff are crucial with the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines. The candidate will be pivotal in leading the continual development of an efficient, effective, and high quality patient focused service, driving operational performance.

### Main duties of the job

- Support the implementation and optimisation of the Trust’s Outpatients Transformation Programme including: PIFU-first, pathways and increased PIFU uptake. Follow-up reduction initiatives aligned with national outpatient recovery priorities. New referral management systems, including redesign of triage, booking and access processes. Digital referral optimisation, including eRS improvements and integration with EPR. Review of AVT functionality to support clinic letter turnaround.

### Applicant requirements

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.

- Experience of working in an administrative role within a busy environment. Information Collection, Processing & Analysis Working in an NHS/clinical environment e.g. hospital, GP surgery, CCG Improving services either clinical or administrative demonstrating sustained change. Experience of process or pathway mapping.

**Desirable**

- Outpatients experience

### Qualification and training

**Essential**

- Evidence of continuing professional development Management qualification or equivalent experience, Working knowledge across a range of work procedures including RTT.

**Desirable**

- Project management qualification. Awareness of National Outpatient priorities/GIRFT.
