This vacancy is only open at this stage to internal employees of the following organisations within the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care System:

- North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust
- Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
- University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust, inclusive of Black Country Procurement Group and North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service
- Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board

To assist the Directorate Management Team, as directed by the Clinical Director, Directorate Manager / Matron / Principle Radiographer/ AHP or respective Clinical Lead in the efficient and effective operational management of resources across the Directorate/Service Line(s).  The potholder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, continually improving patient care within the resources available and support the achievement of measurable improvements in national cancer standards and overall pathway stability.

To assist the Directorate Management Team, as directed by the Clinical Director, Directorate Manager / Matron / Principle Radiographer/ AHP or respective Clinical Lead in the efficient and effective operational management of resources across the Directorate/Service Line(s).  The potholder will contribute to the delivery of high quality, continually improving patient care within the resources available and support the achievement of measurable improvements in national cancer standards and overall pathway stability.

The role includes deputising for the Operational Services Managers as required and supporting, and when appropriate leading cancer pathway improvement initiatives. This will involve providing regular updates and working closely with the Directorate Team, Lung Cancer Clinical Lead and Advanced Nurse Practitioner to drive timely progression of key pathway actions, reduce avoidable delays and improve communication across the Lung cancer diagnostic and treatment pathway.

To work collaboratively with other Directorates/Care Groups to support delivery of the Trust’s and Care Group’s strategic and corporate.   Flexibility is required to deliver the wider Directorate agenda and to offer support to other colleagues providing cover in times of absence.
