We are inviting applications to clinical fellow posts in the Critical Care department at King’s College Hospital (the department covers both the Denmark Hill and Princess Royal University Hospital sites; shortlisted candidates are asked to express a preference at interview). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience of working in a large tertiary critical care department under the mentorship of consultants with a range of tertiary hospital sub specialist interests (including, but not limited to major trauma; neurology and neurosurgery; cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery; haematology including haemoncology.

### Main duties of the job

The successful applicants will be assigned to one of 7 critical care units (6 based at the Denmark Hill site in South London, with a further 1 unit based at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley), where they will work as part of the team of 8-9 resident doctors. The residents are responsible for the day-to-day management of patients on the critical care unit, under the supervision of a consultant intensivist.

### Qualifications

- Registerable medical qualification
- MBBS or equivalent

- Experience of working within the NHS
- Ability to provide a complete employment history with no unexplained career gaps
- Evidence that career progression is consistent with personal circumstances

**Desirable**

- Experience with intensive care, medicine and/or anaesthesia
- Demonstrate research experience
- Demonstrable teaching experience
